Primary School in Burnley looking for an NQT

Full time role

September start

Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed and enthusiastic primary NQT on behalf of a faith primary school in Burnley. Experience delivering the Year 1 curriculum and excellent classroom practice are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be working on a temporary contract basis, required to work on a full time basis from September 2020 until December 2020 initially. The school were hoping to appoint permanently in the Summer term however with the current school closures they have decided to have someone in school on a supply basis for the first term. You may be offered a school contract following a successful term. As the school are ideally looking for an NQT the Head Teacher has expressed that they are happy to support you through your induction year. This position offers candidates the scope to develop their career, alongside upholding high expectations of learning, attainment and behaviour.

The class you would be teaching are average sized with a mixed catchment of white British and Asian heritage. The Headteacher is committed to ensuring every child in the class receives the appropriate support, in light of the school closures, there will be a big emphasis on a nurturing approach alongside behaviour and SEMH support in September. There is an experienced teaching assistant in the class who is well organised and will work well alongside the successful applicant.

The Head Teacher aims to shortlist and interview by 10 th July 2020; however, with the current circumstances, it is possible this could change. Interviews may also be taken place over video conference call.
