Are you considering a career in secondary teaching and wish to gain direct classroom experience with young people beforehand?

Our Graduate Teacher Internship will allow you not only to secure paid employment as a Teaching Assistant, but can offer you a clear and concise pathway onto a school based initial teacher training programme (SCITT). This programme allows you to gain the necessary experience required to be confident and successful when you do decide to begin your teacher training.

* Teaching Assistant role - Graduate Teacher Internship
* Starting September 2020 to July 2021
* You will be placed at a secondary school local to you - areas include Manchester, Salford, Bolton, Bury
* Opportunity to progress on to your teacher training through one of our client secondary schools SCITT programme from September 2021.
* Great opportunity to help you decide if teaching is the career for you and to gain a variety of classroom based experience
* Paid experience, up to �1300 per month

Role and responsibilities of the Graduate Teacher Internship role:

* Supporting identified pupils as a Teaching Assistant in small groups who require additional support with the lesson material
* Assistance with planning and preparation of lessons alongside teachers to upskill you in this area
* Opportunity to provide one to one tuition/interventions where you will utilise your subject knowledge to raise pupil attainment
* Supporting those pupils with mild SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
