Teaching Personnel
Job Ref:

It is a particularly difficult time for the education sector currently, with many children without a school place or not able to attend school currently and a lot of uncertainty about when schools will reopen. The transition back to school (hopefully in September) is always traditionally a difficult time for pupils after the summer break, but this year in particular is going to be even more turbulent and challenging.

We are looking for candidates with any experience working in Special Educational Needs Schools, who would be confident to support young people back into their current or new school environment, helping to ease their anxiety, as they transition back into the classroom.

This will require staff to be extremely nurturing, patient and consistent in their approach so that the young people can settle as quickly as possible. This will be a particularly rewarding experience as you begin to build up a posisitve relationship and become a role model for some of the hardest to reach young people across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

We are looking for candidates with any of the following:

* Any experience working in Special Educational Needs Schools/provisions
* Experience supporting children, young people or adults with Mental Health Difficulties in any setting
* Care/support workers
* Youth Workers
* Personal experience of supporting individuals with mental health difficulties or any other Special Eduational Needs i.e. Autism, Physical Disabilities
* Speech and Language Therapists looking for a change of role
* Nurses looking for a change of role
* Teachers with pastoral experience or any experience running Nurture groups/Autism units
* Behaviour Support experience

Within this ype of role you are likely to work with:

* Pupils with severe anxiety
* Pupils who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties
* Autistic pupils
* Pupils who present with challenging behaviour
* Pupils with attachment disorder
* Pupils with complex needs such as Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Severe Learning Difficulties

The roles that we envisage our schools will require support with are likely to be temporary, as they will predominantly be at the start of the new academic year, while students cope with the transition. Once they have settled into their provision, we would phase staff out and find you a new role, which will enable you to build upon your experience in a variety of other schools!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
