Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Required

Have you just graduated or graduating this year and considering a career in education?

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a specialist secondary hospital school across Lincolnshire. The school caters for children from ages 4 to 16 that suffer with mental health problems and are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start from September, primarily at their Boston site, however the school in question has sites across Lincolnshire and so you could be asked to travel to other sites to assist.

The role will involve providing classroom support to children suffering from mental health issues and you may also be required to take small groups and provide 1:1 sessions covering social skills & vocational studies.

The school is looking for someone with the following:

Essential Requirements

* A graduate, ideally with a degree in Psychology.
* An enthusiastic and empathetic individual who is has a passion for improving lives of children with mental health problems.
* Flexible in respect of being able to travel between the different sites in Lincolnshire.
* Be extremely confident and genuinely excited by the role.

Desired Requirements but not Essential

* Experience in working in an SEN setting, in particular with mental health conditions
* Experience working in any other SEN setting
* Experience working with children in any capacity with or without mental health conditions.
