EAL Support Assistant

Are you currently seeking a full-time position in school in September?

A vacancy has arisen within a primary school in New Malden. They require a member of staff to provide support to a small number of children across Key Stage 2 with little/ no English and to deliver daily interventions, as well as provide general classroom support.

Responsibilities will include:

* Delivering tailored learning activities and providing learning support in order to achieve progression and targets set
* Engaging, motivating and encouraging
* Monitoring and carrying out assessments
* Working collaboratively with the Class Teacher and school SENCo in order to provide the very best support
* Assist the Class Teacher in managing behaviour
* Create classroom displays and provide support with preparing resources for learning
* Attend meetings and contribute to the extra-curricular opportunities provided by the school

Requirements:

* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above
* Child workforce DBS on update service or willing to apply for a new DBS
* Recent experience working alongside children with English as an additional language
* Pro-active, hardworking and committed to making a positive impact

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
