Join a small successful secondary school in Manchester seeking to appoint a motivated and inspiring teacher of English. This is a full time position commencing in September and running until the end of the academic year.

The successful English teacher will have a passion for teaching and learning and will take responsibility of teaching KS3 and GCSE English across mixed ability groups. They will plan and prepare high quality lessons and will work collaboratively with the department to create schemes of work . The successful English teacher will be required to join in departmental meetings and will contribute towards extra-curricular programmes delivered within the English department.

The ideal candidate will:

Have Qualified Teacher Status. (or equivalent)

Have recent experience delivering KS3 and GSCE English.

Create a learning environment that support students of all learning abilities and encourages all students to achieve their potential.

Ensure high standards of behaviour for learning in all lessons.

This successful secondary school is smaller than average with less than 500 pupils on roll and therefore the successful teacher will join a welcoming close knit school. The school has a brand new state of art building which facilitates excellent facilities throughout. The school is located in South Manchester just a short drive from the city centre.
