* Are you a confident individual looking to support young people in alternative education setting?
* Are you experienced in meeting the social, emotional and mental health needs of young people?
* Are you able to create a safe, welcoming and engaging learning environment?

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an experienced Behaviour Support Worker for employment in an established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bradford. The post is to start in September 2020 and you will be required to work during term time until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff.

We are looking for a committed and hardworking individual who would be happy supporting challenging pupils in an education setting. You must have a working knowledge of meeting the Social Emotional and Mental Health needs of young people and a desire to take a supporting role in the classroom.

The school deals with pupils that are of a vulnerable and sometimes challenging nature. You will work closely with your colleagues to create action plans for students across Key Stages 3 and 4, taking an active role in implementing a programme that positively encourages learners to overcome barriers to learning, improve their skills and ultimately gain recognised qualifications.

You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with families, carers and a multidisciplinary team of teaching staff, social workers and educational psychologists. You will be organised, patient and confident, with a sound understanding of the key issues currently affecting young people.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
