Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an English Specialist to provide targeted intervention to Looked After Children. You will be required to work across several school sites or residential settings on a full or half-day basis, from one to five days each week for at least half a term. On arrival at the school(s) you should be provided with a schedule detailing which pupils are attending and at what times. Finally, at the end of each day you will discuss specific pupil progress with the class teachers. The role is suitable for graduates of English, or other related subjects perhaps looking to go into teaching in the future, or even qualified teachers of English looking to take a step back from full class teaching whilst still having the opportunity to use your subject knowledge and expertise.

You must have strong subject knowledge in English Literature & Language (equivalent of undergraduate degree or higher) and experience of working with young people (both within and/or outside of schools)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
