The Systems Service Engineer will be working across an crisis management system which allows the sharing of critical/non critical information. You will be joining a dynamic team of both Systems and Software Engineers; therefore the Service Engineer could have a diverse of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Administer and maintain all elements of the network, along with performing minor software/system upgrades to any part of the System.
* You will Identify and resolve network issues and identify system improvements.
* Provide exercise support (within and outside the UK) which will include Internal/Customer/Technical meeting attendance.
* Ability to build Desktop, Server & Laptop systems (to predetermined build specification)
* To manage allocated PDS activities from inception to successful completion.

Experience needed:

* Education to degree level in relevant software or systems engineering related discipline. Any equivalent or non-academic experience will be considered
* Experience in TCP/IP networks
* Knowledge of virtualisation (Hyper-V)
* Knowledge of Cisco networks (configuration of Routers/Switches etc)
* Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco ASA Firewalls
* Ability to work well within a small team, while showing drive and personal initiative
* Well-developed communication skills (verbal, written and IT-literacy).


* Experience working in a highly safety regulated industry.
* Experience working in the Energy or Nuclear sector would be highly desirable.
* Experience in NERIMS activities (Nuclear Emergency Response Information Management System)
