A Specialist school in Portsmouth is looking for a Drama Teacher to join their team on a long term or even part time basis.

The drama teacher role will include:

- A Teacher who can work with SEN students, mainly managing pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises.

- Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress

- Makaton experience or BSL (to any level)

- Moving and handling / Team- Teach qualification (desired)

- An empathetic and caring personality

Your role will be supporting with behaviour management and to engage and interact with the children to enable them to be able to access the curriculum fully. The school aspires to work together with everyone who is involved in the lives of their pupils and create an inclusive environment and ensure that all pupils reach their full potential. The ideal candidate needs to demonstrate flexibility, as quite often they may be required to work across various classes and support children with varying needs. You will also need to demonstrate empathy, resilience and strong classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
