We have an opportunity to place an Intervention Support Worker in an OFSTED 'Outstanding' rated school for pupils aged 11-25 with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties for the academic year beginning in September 2020.

This school has excellent facilities to support the development of the children with classes usually having 6 to 10 pupils present. This supplemented with speech and language therapists, nurses and a nationally recognized football club-run workshops. The school's reputation is well regarded in the local community and the motives of the school are further recognized with its recent OFSTED rating being outstanding in all areas inspected.

Your role as an intervention support worker would be to assist the class teacher in settling these young people back into school life. These young people value nothing more than routine and continuity so you will be instrumental in settling back into the classroom after the summer break. You will assist the most vulnerable with their daily tasks and support them in all tasks and activities they are scheduled for in the day.

The ideal Intervention support worker would have:

- Experience of supporting SEN (Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties particularly those pupils with Autism) or willingness to train.

- Experience of supporting one to one

- A calm and patient manner

The school is situated in the Sale area of Trafford, with public transport links nearby.
