I am looking to recruit a confident, hard working, resilient and qualified teacher to deliver DT in a forward thinking behavioural unit in East Lancashire. The role is actually a Head of Department role and you will be overseeing DT including; Art, Graphics and Woodwork as well as Food Technologu.

The school currently caters for approximately 75 pupils across KS3 / 4 who all have SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and/or Learning Difficulties. Behaviour in this school is often fairly challenging, however, your maximum class size will be 12 pupils and there will always be at least 1 TA per class.

The pupils in this school are unable to remain in mainstream education, often due to their behaviour, therefore, excellent classroom management skills are essential and candidates applying for this role must be confident in their ability to effectively manage behaviour in class.

You must be experienced in delivering DT to be considered for this role, ideally woodwork too.

The role is full time, however, part time applicants may be considered as long as you can commit to a minimum of 3 days per week.

Pay for this role is negotiable based upon experience, likely between �139 - 169 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
