SEN Teaching Assistant.

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an experienced, SEN Teaching Assistant for a role starting in September at a single form entry primary school in Bury St Edmunds.

* Do you have a passion for supporting children with SEN in education?
* Have you previously worked within Psychology or in Sports Coaching? Do you have experience with Autism, PMLD, SEMH or other SEN Needs?

You will be working with children in KS1/KS2- some pupils may have mild-to moderate SLCN, meaning applicants with experience using PECS or BSL are highly desirable, however experience in this is not a necessity.

You would be an integral part of this thriving school, you would be supported by a team of friendly staff and a stong senior leadership team- you would be working with the pupils on a 1:1 basis and sometime you will be required to run small intervention groups- this is an opportunuty for you to form strong bond with the pupils- enabling you to understand their individual learning needs and what needs to be done to enable them to reach their full learning potential.

You will also have some involvement with personal care, sensory play and assisting students with classwork and supporting the class teacher along with 1 or 2 other teaching assistants in the class to deliver a diverse, adaptive and inclusive education to learners of different abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
