Join a large secondary academy in Manchester seeking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the new academic year 20/21. Th is role is suited to any graduates who are interested in becoming a secondary teacher and are looking to gain relevant school based experience.

The s uccessful graduate will work as a Teaching Assistant across years 7 - 11 and will gain practical experience in a variety of roles. Working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, the successful applicant will tak e on a variety of responsibilities including covering classes and assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons.

They will focus on their subject specialism, providing 1:1 and small group intervention to raise student attainment. The successful graduate may also provide support to students with Special Educational Needs.

This popular secondary school is located in central Manchester and is easily accessible by public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas of South Manchester. The school welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds and has over 1000 pupils on roll making it an inclusive welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will:

Be educated to degree level or be due to complete their degree by summer 20 20.

Specialise in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL or Physical Education.

Be available o n a full time basis from September 20 20 (Monday - Friday 8:15am - 3pm)

Have a genuine desire to pursue a career in teaching or education support roles.
