Full Time English Teaching Position KS3 and KS4

Secondary School in Torfaen

September Start

Pay is to scale - �24,906 to �40,490

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a secondary school in Torfaen.Our client has asked us to help appoint a full time English Teacher to start in September until the end of the academic year. This is a fixed temporary post that is likely to lead to permanent should it be right for all parties. The successful English Teacher will be working closely with the head of department to promote the aims and aspirations of the school. For this position having some primary teaching experience is desirable but not essential.

Requirements

* PGCE/QTS
* Honours graduate
* Confidence teaching KS3 and KS4 English
* Understanding of strategies for raising standards of pupil achievement
* Strong behaviour management

The school is located in the heart of Torfaen and is a successful school with a large community feel. Many of the school's GCSE outcomes are strong in terms of the Welsh Assembly's new performance measures, which place an emphasis on all pupils in a school year group rather than the previously narrow focus on C grade performance. You'll be joining a successful department that continuous to excel year on year.
