As a (Health) Care Assistant, you already have the hands on experience and knowledge of special needs, that we are looking for. These skills can be transferred into working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant within local Schools. Whether you are looking for full time or part time work, we can ehlp.

The Job Role of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:

* You will be working within class sizes of 4-8 pupils, with the Class Teacher and at least one other Teaching Assistant to assist
* Your job will be to support students with their academic and personal development, with lots of 1:1 work
* The children's needs include Autism, including Non-Verbal, PMLD, MLD, SLD and Physical Disabilities, including wheelchair bound
* The School day is 0850-1510 with 30 minutes for lunch
* You will also be expected to assist with lunchtime cover for 30 minutes each day, encouraging positive and safe play

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
