Would you like to work with children in particular?

Three SEN schools in South East London are looking for classroom support staff who have care worker experience for September. The schools cater for children with complex needs, often including medical conditions, physical disabilities and speech and language difficulties.

* Locations: Croydon, Lewisham
* Age range covered by schools: 2-19

Your role as a classroom assistant in an SEN school includes caring for the children's physical needs - this will include providing personal care, assisting the other staff with toileting and changing the children.

You will also take part in supporting the education of the children - including a lot of sensory stimulation work, assisting with gross and fine motor skills development, speech and language practice as well as general communication and social interaction.

* Teaching Personnel uses PAYE pay scheme which means we pay your employer national insurance contribution and also a pension contribution for you
* Opportunity to transfer from agency to permanent role later in the academic year
