If so, please see the details of the open position within the SEN department in a large Secondary school in Oldham.

Our client Secondary school are currently seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to provide support to identified students across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four. This Teaching Assistant position is initially being offered on a temporary full time basis, starting in September.

- Full time SEN Teaching Assistant position

- Supporting students with ASC, MLD and SEMH

- Working with pupils in class, and within the Inclusion Centre

- Differentiating work to ensure it is accessible to pupils

"Due to the Year 7 intake, and in order to ensure we can provide an inclusive education for all students, we require an SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with individual pupils. It is essential that the successful SEN Teaching Assistant has previous experience working with ASC, MLD and SEMH due to these needs being the most predominant." - SENCo

This position will incorporate general in class support, along with delivering interventions to improve confidence and self esteem. You will be fully supported throughout this position by the SENCo at school, and will be expected to track the progress made by students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
