This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation supporting the delivery of education to young people with special needs in Blandford Forum.

The school supports young people between the ages of 7-19 with Autism and associated difficulties to gain important life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their journey towards independence.

We are looking to recruit a committed, empathetic and passionate Teacher that will deliver educational sessions and be a model of positive behaviour support to empower our young people to make a positive change in their lives.

Areas of responsibility:

* Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught and assessed for each individual student;
* Providing clear structures for learning to maintain pace, motivation and challenge;
* Mark and monitor students' work and set targets for progress.

Applicants must have:

* Experience delivering education to young people with ASC;
* The ability to teach effectively and differentiate lesson plans using a variety of strategies;
* Excellent interpersonal skills with both children and adults;
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum;
* Have high aspirations and expectations for their students;
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle as the school is not easily accessed by public transport

Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status qualification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
