HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT

Due to the continued expansion of a SEN school I work with, we are looking to appoint a number of HLTA's. Our HLTA's also support school improvement in a number of areas including Behaviour, Communication, Creative and Physical Development. All of the areas are outlined in the attached job description.

As an HLTA you will be expected to support the development and embedding of these areas / practices across the school, including training and up-skilling staff, working with small groups as well as individual students.

Should you have a preference to focus on one of these areas in particular, please make this clear in your application.

Experience of working with children with profound and multiple learning disabilities would be an advantage.

We are looking for people who are passionate about working with children and young adults with special educational needs and are able to help us make a difference and our pupils to achieve their full potential.

Hours of work are 9.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. (35 per week) Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks)

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
