A resilient behavioural mentor is required for an exciting role at a specialist school in Stratford to start from September

The role is to mentor small groups of students or sometimes individual students using creative techniques to help them reach their academic potential. The students are referred to the school for a number of reasons - they are not able to access mainstream schools for a number of reasons. These reasons include students with medical needs, mental health, learning disorders and challenging behaviour.

The Role:

* Prepare lesson plans.
* Teach specific programmes of study. These include; functional skills, GCSEs, unit awards.
* Support pupils in ks3 and ks4, students up to the age of 16.
* Attend weekly training sessions to enhance your progression in the role, this includes a social.
* Create new, interesting resources to enhance learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Experience as a youth, prison or support worker would be beneficial.
* Previous experience in tuition would also be beneficial.
* A resilient individual who's keen to support behavioural issues.
* GCSE in Maths/English/Science at C or above. A-level or above. Degree or Equivalent. QTS not required.
* Patience with students is essential
* A resilient individual.
