Cooking Teaching Assistant?

We need you!

Our partner school are looking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and knowledgeable cook with experience of working with challenging/SEN pupils. You must be able to interact with the students and communicate in a clear manner. Your role will require you to prepare, cook and serve meals to students and staff, as well as the ordering of food. In addition to relevant food production and food safety qualification you should be able to demonstrate experience in helping to create healthy, nutritious, home-cooked meals and cater for all dietary requirements. Previous experience in this field is desirable, though applications are welcomed from people with commitment and aptitude who wish to work in this area.

To apply for this position, you will need:

- Recent experience of working in a kitchen and previous experience working in a school ( not essential)

- A strong passion to enhance the development of pupils.

- An approachable and positive attitude.

- Hold relevant qualifications.

- Ideally Team Teach Trained. (Not essential)

- Be confident in working with small groups and 1:1.

- Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to take one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
