I am currently working with an alternative provision that works with students who have SEMH.

WE are looking to recruit positive behaviour mentors for when schools re-open to help transition students back into a school routine.

All students have a statement of Special Educational Needs or an Educational Health and Care Plan. The school is dedicated to helping students prepare for adulthood, working closely with young people and their families to raise the academic, progress and development of social skills for young people.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy and patience with the young people, being able to develop a rapport and relationship with students. You must have experience supporting students who can display very challenging behaviour, or who require specialist assistance. You will be required to engage and interact with the children to enable them access the curriculum fully and cater to a variety of special educational needs. This does not necessarily have to be in an education setting, we accept applications from youth workers, sports coaches and social work backgrounds.

Experience/ Personal Specification Required:

* Experience working with SEN schools (desirable)
* Team teach or restraint training (desirable)
* Go above and beyond expectations
* Empathy and patience
* Experience working with SEMH and ASC needs
