In the role of Senior Cyber Security Analyst you will be responsible for the development, delivery and support of new cyber security systems and processes within Western Power.  You will also be a subject matter expert and point of escalation for the security administrators and cyber security analysts.

* Depending on experience the successful candidate may initially be appointed on a lower salary until all relevant training is completed.

Based in Plymouth our impressive IT department supports a mobile workforce using a wide variety of systems and devices. Our IT specialists develop and manage a range of mobile, web and back-office applications on multiple platforms including Apple, Windows and Linux.

We host a significant server and database infrastructure in our own datacentres as well as manage all aspects of cybersecurity and telecommunications

Main ResponsibilitiesYour main duties will include


Responsibility for the development and management of SIEM reports and dashboards
Point of escalation for daily security findings
Evaluating security processes and systems against security industry benchmarks, for example CIS
Provide subject matter expertise in relation to historic and developing security trends and apply knowledge of industry specific threats
Responding to cyber security incidents
Delivering cyber security awareness programs with Western Power
Monitoring and assessing latest threat intelligence
Carrying out forensics on systems and hardware
Investigating new tools and techniques to strengthen cyber security

The Ideal CandidateYou should be educated to degree level or have an appropriate level of experience of working within an IT environment dealing with aspects of cyber security.  It would be advantageous to have or be working towards, a recognised cyber security qualification such as OSCP, CISSP, CCNA Security etc.
