You do not need to have had previous experience of teaching in a specialist school, however experience of working with children who have additional needs such as in an IR unit or previous experience of supporting SEN pupils before teaching would be an advantage. We are working with a number of specialist provisions across East Yorkshire that use teacher cover on a short and long term basis and willbe looking for cover when schools re-open.

A little more about the schools;

* Pupils have a range of social, emotional or mental health needs
* The classes are small in size
* Each class has at least 1 TA to support as well as some pupils having individual 1:1 TAs
* They use Team Teach techniques so knowledge of Team Teach de-esculation and positive handling would be an advantage but training can be offered

Why register?

* Experience - Placements in numerous settings so you can build on your expeirence and discover the school best matched to you
* Flexibility - Manage your diary to fit around current commitments
* Pay - You are paid weekly based on the your expeirence and the role you are doing
* Access to our CPD academy - Your Continuous Professional Development
