An opportunity has arisen for a Cyber Security Analyst to join the Cyber Security team based in Plymouth. In this role you will assist I the support of new cyber security systems and processes within WPD. You will also be required to carry out tasks in relation to behaviour analysis, phishing campaigns, social engineering, vulnerability scanning and other related security tasks.

Based in Plymouth our impressive IT department supports a mobile workforce using a wide variety of systems and devices. Our IT specialists develop and manage a range of mobile, web and back-office applications on multiple platforms including Apple, Windows and Linux.

We host a significant server and database infrastructure in our own datacentres as well as manage all aspects of cybersecurity and telecommunications

Main Responsibilities
The daily monitoring of SIEM reports and dashboards
Carrying out vulnerability assessments
Behavioural analysis to mitigate the risk of the insider threat
Investigatin and resolving SOC related queries in relation to IT systems
Monitor endpoints through utilisation of the TANIUM security system
Investigate and assist in the resolution of endpoint issues
Providing 1st line support to WPD staff in relation to cyber security related issues 

The Ideal CandidateYou should be educated to 'A' Level standard or equivalent in an IT related subject and have thorough understanding and detail grasp of the concepts, principles and practices with Cyber Security. Knowledge and understanding of the NIS directive. Experience in the use of Tanium would be advantageous.

Where appropriate, the appointment may initially be on a designate basis depending on completion of required training.
