Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a vibrant secondary school, seeking to appoint a full time History teacher once schools re-open. We welcome applications from newly qualified and experienced teachers looking to secure a long term position. This position is an open vacancy so there is the oppourtunity for a permanent post.

Highlights of this History teacher position:

* Full time position commencing once schools re-open - potential to cover this maternity beyond this.
* Planning, preparing and delivering KS3 and GCSE History lessons to mixed ability groups across the full age range
* Salary to reflect pay scale and teaching experience (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)
* Modern secondary academy located in Darlington, easily accessible via public transport

The successful applicant will be a well qualified History teacher with recent experience in planning, preparing and delivering KS3 and GCSE History. They will join a forward thinking and supportive Humanities department and will work collaboratively with staff members to implement engaging lessons across years 7 - 11. We are looking for a passionate teacher who will be able to engage students of all learning abilities and backgrounds.

Successful candidates must have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Recent experience teaching KS3 and GCSE History
* Excellent classroom management and a genuine desire to help students achieve the best possible outcomes

In a recent Ofsted report, the academy was judged to be 'Good' with a strong and determined leadership team. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
