Every local authority used to run an NQT Pool, where qualifying trainees applied once to be considered by all the schools in the LEA. Our NQT Pool takes an old idea and makes it work for you during these extraordinary times.

Teaching Personnel's pool works on the same principles, but with a national focus on both recruiting NQTs and working with schools; with greater resources and expertise devoted to vetting, assessing and pre-screening candidates; and the delivery of extra training resources to help candidates who have had their final year of training cut short by the school closures.

What are the Benefits?

The Teaching Personnel NQT Pool offers real benefits for you as a NQT:

* Gives you a simple and quick route to find potential employers during the period of school closures.
* Cuts down on the risks of you immediately exiting the teaching pool after graduating.
* Additional training materials will support you, especially if your training has been cut short by the coronavirus outbreak.
