EAL TEACHING ASSISTANT - Sheffield

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large multi-cultural Secondary School in the Sheffield area to help aid their SEN department. Due to a position opening within their support staff team, the school are looking for an EAL teaching assistant to join their team on a full time basis from September. This position will involve working with children from a range of cultural and social backgrounds, including children who speak English as a second language, previous experience or the ability to speak Polish or Slovak Roma would be advantageous for any interested applicants. You will work with children in small groups and on an individual basis, with a focus to develop their English language skills and improve their confidence during the regular school day.

* EAL teaching assistant
* Full time on going supply position starting ASAP
* Must have previous experience delivering EAL support in a secondary school
* Languages speaking daily include; Polish or Slovak Roma
* Supply position initially on a full time long term basis
* Rate of pay to match previous experience (weekly supply pay)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
