Hours: 8:30-4pm with a half hour lunch

A lovely primary school in Cardiff are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to start September 2020 until July 2021.

The role will be full time to support a male pupil in a reception class 1:1 who has epilepsy and limited speech. You will be responsible in managing the pupil's timetable and following up on their absences, as well as keeping accurate records of the pupils attendance. A Makaton trained candidate is required for this role to support pupil with their speech and language difficulties. You will need to be nurturing and be able to develop good relationships with the staff and parents.

Ideally the school are looking for someone who has previous experience working with children or adults with special needs, however this doesn't have to be within an education setting.

Full epilepsy training will be provided for the successful candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
