An exciting opportunity for a creative and committed music teacher to join a thriving secondary school, covering a maternity leave in the department.

* Full time Music Teacher (must hold QTS)
* Maternity cover - Sept 2020 to Feb 2021 initally
* Paid weekly
* Working at a modern and aspiring secondary school in Nottingham NG8
* Teaching a full timetable consisting of Key Stage 3 & GCSE
* Taking on full departmental responsibility including planning and marking
* Very accessible, with car park on-site

The successful Music teacher will be joining a friendly team of teachers and pupils alike, within a large, coeducational secondary school in the West of Nottingham (NG8). The incoming Music teacher will have good behaviour management and a have a proven record of successfully raising attainment in the subject. You will successfully engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music, developing a critical understanding. Pupils will learn how to perform, listen and review music whilst exploring how music is created and communicated.

Recent Ofsted reports highlighted the schools 'highly inclusive environment' and the support it offers on the whole, while rating it as "Good". The secondary school prides itself on delivering a student centred education, which is shown within its values and ethos.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
