Youth Worker Teaching Assistants needed for PRU in Chigwell

�65- �80 daily rate - PAYE

A lively behaviour and SEMH specialist school in Chigwell are looking for experienced behaviour teaching assistants to work in classes supporting pupils with complex challenging behavioural needs across year groups (ages 5-11); this will be for a September start with prospects for professional development! For the successful candidate there is the view to secure a permanent contract.

They are looking for at least 2 of the following qualities:

* Previous experience working in a PRU or alternative provision
* Graduate (Sociology, Sports, Criminology or Psychology)
* Experienced Youth or Community Support Worker
* Support workers from mental health facilities or high risk secure units
* Sports coaches looking to transfer skills in supporting vulnerable young pupils' education
* Confident , resilient , positive personality

The post is to start in September at the start of the academic year and you will be required to commit to working during term time until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff. The school caters for pupils that are of a challenging nature so you will have a good understanding to work with students that have emotional, behavioural needs, be of a positive, nurturing, confident personality. You will work closely with your colleagues to work cohesively to support challenging students in primary class groups adopting a therapeutic approach to encourage learners to manage their emotions , overcome their barriers to learning, as well as improve their social and communication skills to further their education prospects .
