Are you a Fully QUalified SEN Teacher with experience teaching complex needs and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties?

We work with a newly refurbished OFSTED rated 'Good' SEN school in the South of Nottingham, who cater for pupils with PMLD, SLD, ASC and other complex needs.

The school offer a personalised curriculum tailored to meet the individual neeeds of each young person. Classes are grouped on ability and many students are working on P Levels. However as the school has mixed ability groups they cover the Pre-Formal Curriculum (for pupils working between P LEvels 1 - 4), the Semi-Formal Curriculum (for pupils working between P4 - end of KS1 curriculum levels) and the Formal Curriculum (for pupils working at end of Year 1 expectations and above).

All pupils have Individual Education Plans (IEP's) and Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP's).

We require teachers who are willing to work across the school, with pupils aged 3 - 18 years old from September 2020. We will welcome applications from candidates looking for either part time or full time work placements.

The ideal candidates will be:

* Fully Qualified Teacher with QTS
* SEN Experience within SEN schools or Alternative provisions
* Experience working with a high ratio of TA's and managing these with a collaborative, supportive approach
* Experienced working with complex needs including PMLD, SLD and ASC
* Experienced with PEG feeding, Makaton, PECS and Tracheostomy training (please note these are desirable but not essential)
* Any experience or training in Moving and Handling
* Team Teach trained (or equivalent)
* Confident to differentiate to a broad range of ages and abilities
* Experienced working with students and young people with significantly impaired communication, using electronic commuication aids, Makaton and other visual resources
* Able and willing to work collaboratively with the highly supportive staff team and follow the school ethos at all times
