Teaching Personnel are working with this central Bristol secondary school that represents a unique opportunity to join an Academy at the beginning of its improvement journey and help grow into an Outstanding School. The Academy has a drive for improvement and this would be an exciting time to join a school. As one of the Female PE teachers in the department you would be teaching PE to KS3 and KS4 pupils, the ability to offer GCSE or BTEC PE would be a great advantage.

Responsibilities as a PE teacher at the school:.

* Set high expectations so that all students are inspired, motivated and challenged to reach their full potential, and in doing so meet their progress targets
* Plan and teach well-structured lessons that are aligned to the agreed curriculum and teach students the importance of physical activity while developing motor and fitness skills
* Contribute to the promotion of an active, healthy lifestyle and any related school-wide initiatives
* Facilitate lunchtime and after school extracurricular clubs.
* Provide that motivation for students who perhaps struggle in PE lessons or lack the confidence to participate
* Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe, respectful and nurturing environment so that students can focus on learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
