Join a vibrant secondary school in South Manchester, seeking to appoint a teacher of BTEC Health & Social Care from September 2020.

The successful teacher will deliver BTEC Tech Awards in Health and Social Care and BTEC Nationals Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care from September 2020 for one academic year.

The successful applicant will deliver lessons across years 8 - 11 and will teach students of all abilities . We are looking for a teacher who will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes.

Once established in the school, the successful teacher will be expected to undertake full teaching responsibilities including setting and marking work, attending parents' evenings, covering break duties and covering registrations when required.

Full-time maternity cover commencing September 2020 and running until the end of the academic year.

This popular secondary academy is located in South Manchester and has been recognised for its significant improvements. In a recent Ofsted report, the academy was judged to be 'Good' with a strong and determined leadership team. Due to recent investments, the school now has excellent state of the art facilities including modern well resourced classrooms.

For those on public transport, the academy is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas. For those who drive, the academy is located a 20 minute drive from the city centre.

We are looking for a passionate teacher who is able to commit to the full period of this role. This role is due to commence in September with video interviews to take place as soon as possible therefore all Health and Social Care teachers interested are encouraged to apply without hesitation.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
