Fully Qualified Teachers required for September - Hospital School Setting in South East London

The roles:

* Start date: September 2020 (possibly later dependent on Coronavirus)
* Locations: two hospital schools based in Southwark, one based in Lewisham
* Schools can offer permanent contracts if you are successful after the first 6 months on agency
* Hospital schools carter for primary and secondary aged students who have various medical needs, physical impairments and sometimes mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia and some who present challenging behaviour
* The students are mostly academically able and you can follow the national curriculum for the age range required

Teaching is typically done in either small groups - making use of the purpose built school rooms within the hospital - or on a 1:1 basis on the wards by children's bedsides. The schools are fully equipped with resources, however all planning, preparation and assessment will be done by you as part of your teaching role, and you will be given PPA time on your teaching timetable for this.

The ideal candidate will:

* Be an experienced, fully qualified teacher (potentially an NQT) for either primary or secondary
* Be available for full time work in South East London, from September 2020
* Have an understanding of how to work with children who have SEN and/or mental health difficulties
* Have relevant and recent safeguarding, child protection, SEN training - this is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
