1:1 autism support teaching assistant required for September 2020

A lovely primary school based in the London borough of Lewisham is looking for a teaching assistant to take on a 1:1 support role from September 2020 - please be aware this is dependent on further announcements from the government with regards to the Coronavirus.

The role and school:

* �65 - �85 per day, dependent on experience
* 1:1 support for a boy going into year 5 who has autism
* He can display some challenging behaviour so you must be confident to manage behaviour
* Team Teach training is highly desirable
* Based in a standard year 5 class with maximum 30 students
* Close to Blackheath train station and 4 different bus routes

You will work under direction of the class teacher, and there is also support from another teaching assistant in the class at all times. You will be there specifically to work with this one particular student, however it will be natural for you to mix with the other students and help them at times too.

Please note: the school may offer for you to transfer onto a permanent contract with them, I you are successful after the first 6 months.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
