Teaching Personel is seeking to employ a Newly Qualified Engineering Teacher in Scarborough.

The Role

You will be an important part of the Design Technology team for Teaching Personnel, in Scarborough. You should have a relentless focus on quality in teaching and to do so in a high-quality environment so that you can deliver an excellent outcome for every student.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and teach well-structured, differentiated lessons that are aligned to the agreed curriculum and cultivate every student's intellectual curiosity
* Use data to inform teaching and learning, identify areas for intervention and provide feedback to students, follow staff members and families in order to promote progress and outcomes
* Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe, respectful and nurturing environment so that students can focus on learning
* Work collaboratively with other staff members and network colleagues as a committed team member
* Participate actively throughout the network, by attending relevant meetings
* Work with colleagues, students and families to develop a strong and diverse community within the College


* Competitive rates of pay varying from �130 to �175 per day*
* Flexibility to work through the Agency on a Full Time or Part Time basis
* Liaise with colleagues and external contacts at all levels of seniority with confidence, tact and diplomacy
* Work with the UK's Leading Education Recruitment Agency, Teaching Personnel, with a dedicated Consultant to offer support, assistance and guidance throughout your placement(s)

Qualification Criteria

* Qualified to teach and work in the UK, holding QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Degree in Engineering or related subject

Other Requirements

* Right to work in the UK - Original UK Birth Certificate with Proof of National Insurance Number, or Passport
* Commitment to equality of opportunity and the safeguarding and welfare of all students
* Willingness to undertake additional training if required
* This post is subject to having an Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate that is registered to the Update Service, or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel
* Be able to provide a full 6 year career history, with relevant reference details
