NHS Volunteer - Service Desk Analyst / Help Desk Technician - Norfolk

VIQU Recruitment are supporting a Norfolk based Trust who are urgently looking for Service Desk Analysts / Help Desk Technicians on a Voluntary basis. This would be to assist with the organisation, management and technical support for the backlog of existing, and continued income of tickets at a time where it has never been needed more. With an increasing amount of staff needing to work remotely or utilising technology, it is imperative that the NHS Trust services the need for assistance and allows the NHS to work as effectively as possible.

With Covid-19 putting them under unprecedented strain, the Trust is currently running at maximum capacity, and needs your help.

The role requires someone who can put their existing IT skills to use to service outstanding and new tickets to a resolution, largely as a 1 st line support, and potentially as a 2 nd line support if at all possible. Tickets will include providing access to shared drives, creating new accounts, administrative work within Exchange, Active Directory, 0365 to name a few.

These tickets then need to be logged as satisfied via their internal filing system, so that the trust can keep track of the ongoing situation. Typically, tickets come through via telephone and email, and are managed internally as opposed to utilising a cloud-based CRM. As such, you will need to be comfortable working on site for this role.

The role is based on site at the hospital; however, volunteers will be kept away from COVID wards, and appropriate safeguarding and social distancing measures are in place.

Experience working within an enterprise IT environment is essential as you will need to be confident in providing 1 st support to assist in dealing with ticketed issues.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to have experience working with Active Directory to hit the ground running.

Summary of experience needed:

- 1 st line Service Desk or Help Desk experience within an enterprise environment

- Comfortable within Exchange and 0365 packages

- Active Directory experience in an administrative capacity

The Trust are looking for a minimum of a week's commitment, although any further assistance beyond this will be greatly appreciated.
