A special school in Knaresborough are looking to appoint a teacher on a full time basis from September 2020.

The school caters for pupils aged 4-16 with Special Educational Needs, and are looking for a teacher to support pupils within a Key Stage One class in the new academic year.

The school have the capacity to support a Newly Qualified Teacher through their first year of teaching and are able to offer full support to those wishing to work within SEN settings as a teacher.

The successful applicant will work closely with an experienced team of teachers and support assistants to deliver a differentiated curriculum, with a focus on personal, social and emotional development alongside formal learning across the Primary Curriculum. You will have previous experience of differentiating learning activities for young people with additional needs, and may have experience using supportive teaching strategies such as TEACCH and SCERTS. You will have an understanding of meeting the needs of SEN pupils and be confident to adapt resources for specific Special Educational Needs.
