A primary school in Accrington is looking to appoint a new teaching assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2020!

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday (08:45 - 15:20). It is initially temporary; however, following a successful period of probation, the appointed candidate will be offered a school contract.

The Head Teacher is looking for a teaching assistant who can hit the ground running and make effective contributions to the team. Accordingly, knowledge and experience of the EYFS Framework is essential. In order to be considered for the role, you must hold minimum a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). In September, you would be supporting small groups of children providing additional support/ leading intervention sessions focusing on the three prime areas - personal, social and emotional development; communication and language; and physical development.

The school is larger than average, with a high proportion of pupils eligible for free school meals. The proportion of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities is also above the national average. The school is easily accessible by local transport links.

The Head Teacher aims to shortlist and virtually interview by 7 th July 2020; however, with the current circumstances, it is possible this could change.
