A special school in Batley is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to provide additional support to pupils on a short term basis.

The school caters for pupils aged 2-19 with a range of SEN (including Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Delay). On a day-to-day basis, you will be required to work across the school, supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.

Due to the specific needs of the pupils, experience in Personal Care and/or Moving and Handling qualifications is desirable. All pupils attending have Education, Health and Care Plans (ECHP);indicating profound and complex needs, severe learning difficulties or autistic spectrum conditions. In addition some children require alternative communication methods such as PECS.

We are looking to appoint an individual who is able to work on a supply basis and at short notice with a wide range of SEN. If you are available 3-5 days a week during term time and have the passion and determination to support pupils with Special Educational Needs to overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
