An SEN school in the Bournemouth area are seeking an NQT of Food Technology to join their school in September. The school recognise the restraints to early closures of schools on PGCE students and have an excellent NQT programme in place to support an NQT in their first year of teaching.

The school is a Pupil Referral Unit which provides education for those pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. The school offers an alternative to mainstream school for students within a geographically defined zone. They provide a flexible, individual package of education which reflects the interests of the student.

The school closures may have brought an early end to your placements, but they should not stop you finding a job for September. Inevitably, they are concerned about recruiting lesser experienced NQTs however value their importance of their place in the workforce. As a NQT, you may also have some anxieties over the impact COVID-19 will have on securing your first teaching opportunity. We have partnered with the best practice network to provide NQTs free access to six online support packs & ongoing CPD and resources to ensure your development and learning is not compromised.
