With the upcoming academic year approaching, there is an increasing need for graduates seeking employment in secondary school settings.

Working alongside our partner clients, we are looking to help secure aspiring teachers the necessary experience needed to join a teacher training programme whilst also ensuring they have a full-time paid position. The role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant will ensure you are given the necessary tools and experience prior to embarking on your teacher training programme including appropriate classroom management techniques, how to effectively differentiate work, rapport building and how to best facilitate learning to students with additional needs. You will work alongside experienced teaching and support staff with the overall aim of encouraging students to learn and hit their expected targets throughout the year, as well as helping with the preparation for end of year examinations.

Although school based experience isn't a necessity to apply, a familiarity of the role and experience working with young people will be highly advantageous and set you in good stead with hitting the ground running. For both those with and without experience, Teaching Personnel and our sister company BPN will provide access to excellent professional development courses.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
