The Head Teacher and Governors of a 'GOOD' primary school in Leyland are looking to recruit a hard working and dynamic primary teacher to teach one of their KS1 classes from 2nd September 2020. The vacancy has a arisen due to the current Class Teacher going on maternity leave. The school is graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted, and is described as 'a very happy and caring school', where 'pupils thrive within a calm and purposeful learning environment'. The proportion of disadvantaged pupils is average, as is the proportion of pupils with Special Educational Needs.

The successful candidate will be:

* Experienced in teaching pupils in Key Stage 1 and aware of the national expectations for the year groups
* Confident in their teaching of phonics
* An exemplary classroom practitioner with high expectations of children's behaviour and achievement
* Able to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
* Committed to providing engaging, creative and purposeful learning experiences
* Innovative in their approach to children's learning and is a life-long learner themselves
* Willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
