Graduate Teaching Assistant - Future Teacher Programme

If you are considering a career in primary teaching, then this opportunity is for you.

Around this time each year, Teaching Personnel meet with many graduates that want to gain classroom experience before perusing a career in teaching. That is why Teaching Personnel have put together the Future Teacher programme - it aims to provide that extra support for those already passionate about their future teaching careers.

School placements will be between one term and a full academic year and will provide valuable insight into the role of a qualified teacher. During the placement you will work full time and receive weekly pay. Pay rates vary from school to school, but the minimum daily pay rate for Primary schools in South Wales (Cardiff / Vale of Glamorgan) is �60.59 a day .

What does it involve?

The opportunity to:

* Observe various lessons/ classrooms to understand the varying teaching styles
* Plan classroom displays
* Plan a lesson for a specific subject or topic
* Judge the learning outcomes of pupils
* Provide one-to-one tuition to help raise pupil attainment

* Assessment
* Behaviour
* Special Educational Needs
* Pedagogy and Practice
* Professional Behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
