To increase testing for COVID-19, the Government has significantly increased the number of centres where key workers can be tested. As the programme ramps up further, additional testing support is needed at centres across the UK.

We are seeking to recruit Site Managers to lead the overall management of the Test Centre, supervising the service delivery and all activities and outputs for the site. You will operate the site strictly in line with all health directives and policy and procedures issued by Government and will coordinate with Emergency Services.

Typical working hours are from 07.30am – 8.00pm with rest breaks in-between and will be on a rota of 2 days on and then 2 days off.

Job Description
Competitive hourly rate of £15.00 per hour
This position is offered on a casual basis

Main Responsibilities
Directly responsible for the overall management of the testing operation to include security, supply management and safety of all staff on site
Manage all activities and outputs of the Testing Centre, ensuring the safety of all staff
Problem-solve and create solutions to complex problems
Read and interpret directives and documentation issued
Carry out instructions provided in a written, oral or diagram form
Record keeping and ensuring safety regulations and procedures are adhered to
Supervisory practices, training and motivating members of the team ensuring to provide support
Timely preparation and submission of all reports and returns, as required

The Ideal CandidateEssential Criteria


You must have native or bilingual proficiency level English
Experience of following strict guidelines and procedures
Previous experience as a manager
Experience working with members of the public/patients
Excellent interpersonal skills and a supportive nature
Flexibility to change tasks as and when required
Must be able to physically stand for several hours with good mobility
Willingness to work in an outdoor environment


 

You must not be classified, or live with anyone classified, as belonging to any of the COVID-19 high risk groups (more detail can be found on the government website):


Must not have a long-term condition
Must not be pregnant
Must not have immune deficiencies through medical conditions or therapy
Must not be aged over 70


Training and full personal protective equipment will be provided.
 

Desirable Criteria:


Understanding of PPE practices is desirable, however training is provided
Cleaning and sterilisation experience
Experience of transporting medical waste (the collection of PPE and biohazard waste)
Experience working in a medical, clinical or health environment
