Year 5 Teaching Assistant

Burnley Primary School (Two- form entry)

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a 'Good' 2-form entry Primary School in the heart of Burnley who wish to appoint an approachable, experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant for September 2020.

The role is to start in the new academic year and would entail working full-time as part of well supported team who place a clear emphasis upon the development of mathematic, literacy and communication skills. As well as carrying out general TA duties, e.g.; photocopying, display work, playtime cover etc, you will be working to actively manage classroom behaviour during the coming reintegration period. Although this is likely to present its challenges, the school poses an established and incredibly well supported behaviour policy.

As well as being able to form strong parent and pupil relationships, the successful candidate will be confident in delivering high quality maths and English intervention or booster sessions across the two year 5 classes on a 1:1 or small group basis as to raise attainment, aspirations and confidence. Owing to a recent Ofsted report, the school is particularly working to improve KS2 literacy level, experienced I this specific field will be looked upon favourably.

* Level 2 or above qualification
* Experience working in KS2
* Degree desirable
* The position is full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30 - 15:30).
* Start date: Tuesday 1 st September 2020.
* Contract Type: Initially for a term with the view to be made permanent.
