The Client

Our client are a sport, outdoor, and lifestyle fashion agency with a diverse and impressive portfolio of leading global brands. They have successfully established themselves as one of the top multi-category brand and distribution specialists in the UK & Ireland.

The Role

The eCommerce Manager will own all aspects of the website experience and be responsible for delivering against targets and managing budgets.

Our client are looking for an expert in online sales strategies and the various platforms used to conduct digital sales or conversions on a website. Day to day, you'll need to be both strategic and hands on. Responsibilities include monitoring the day-to-day activity of the specific brand website and its overall performance to achieve goals such as improving user experience, increasing website traffic and sales, and developing brand loyalty.

As a website optimisation expert, other duties include project managing site development and updates for the e-commerce side of the business, working with co-workers and external consultants / agencies and ensuring that the brand message and goals align with the rest of the company. Other integral duties include leading the digital marketing strategy across all digital channels including PPC, SEO, email and Social Media.

It will require strong analytical, communication, project management and relationship skills in a fast-paced, client-led environment. You will be part of a growing company with the common goal of delivering the best results and working closely with the companies partners to understand their ambitions.

The eCommerce Manager will be a key member of the team, managing the eCommerce function within the organisation. You'll be reporting to the Managing Director, managing their Design Executive, as well as working closely with the marketing, support teams and external digital agencies

Main responsibilities

Taking ownership of the eCommerce strategy

Day-to-day running of brand eCommerce websites including proposition, sales, optimisation and UX

Overseeing design and developments of the brand website and managing external site development agencies

Monitor web analytics and review and improve design & layout and optimise the customer journey & experience

Understand site usability and customer sticking points to develop ongoing site improvements

Drive acquisition and retention improvements by developing strategic plans for digital marketing channels including: SEO and Paid Search - paid social advertising - email marketing

Manage external agencies and digital marketing specialists

Develop and execute detailed improvement roadmaps

Compile accurate reports on site traffic and sales whilst identifying opportunities

Required knowledge and experience

Proven website management experience in the eCommerce space

Key understanding of web analytics; tools, reporting and insights

A passion for improving user experience and conversion rate performance

Experience of managing people & working with external agencies to implement projects

Experience working on and managing digital marketing strategies

Experience of content management, social media and copywriting with an attention to detail

A good communicator and team player who must be prepared to be hands on

Educated to degree or equivalent level, ideally in a relevant su
