Education Counsellor

Are you a qualified counsellor or Psychotherapist looking for a role in education?

Given the current climate and the effect Covid - 19 has had on learning and education, I am looking to recruit qualified counsellors to take positions in SEN provisions in North Lincolnshire to help children suffering with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) conditions.

The role in question would entail you working as a Teaching Assistant on a 1:1 or small group basis, focusing solely on assisting those with SEMH. This could entail dealing with severe anxiety and/or challenging behaviour. You may also be around children who are Autistic, have ADHD or other SEN conditions. You may also be required to assist with Looked After Children in a care setting.

Required Experience

* Masters or Degree in Psychology or Psychotherapy with Counselling or Counselling qualification in the shape of a Diploma
* Experience in counselling children and or young adults by talking therapies and/or CBT

Desired Experience

* Experience in an educational setting
* Experience with SEN conditions, for example with Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties or speech and communication difficulties.
* Experience with Education Health Care Plans

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
